This murphy bed is designed to look like a pair of Barn Doors. You’ll see many configurations. Most will have grooves cut into the face to resemble planks of boards, keeping a wider panel creates a stronger face. We then trim each door using 4″ wide molding with a diagonal down the center.
Variations of this may be we leave out the cross bar or even double it up to make a “X” on each door. When we make your drawing packet, some different options can be drawn to make your Barn Door unique.
